AUTOTRADER iPHONE APP
This interface was created for a pitch to show the digital marketing team at AutoTrader how they could extend their brand into the mobile app space. We surveyed the competition and included features for both car shoppers and people who were selling their vehicles. 

We also took the opportunity to evolve the AutoTrader brand to something that was more modern and sleek. Finally, we included examples of brand partnerships that would help to monetize the app.

TOPPS LIVE
Concept screens and branding for a pitch to Topps. To stem declining interest in baseball card collecting, we proposed a digital extenuation of the collecting experience. Traditional baseball cards are augmented with real-time stats and news by using a mobile device to scan them and "bring them to life."

I designed the app interface and worked on the branding and visual positioning for the pitch.

DELTA EMBARK APP
Google invited Delta and AKQA to create one of the first browser apps for the launch of the Chrome browser. I designed the initial concept screens for the pitch to both Delta and Google.

Leveraging the content from Delta's in-flight periodical, Sky Magazine, users explore new cities through restaurants, nightlife, events, and shopping.

Concept screens for a Trex, the leading manufacturer of composite decking. The cleaner interface makes the various differences in Trex's products easier to understand. Also the concept introduces lifestyle photography to support the theme of outdoor living.

TOUAREG RARE BEAST
Rare Beast was a campaign for the launch of the world's first turbocharged hybrid SUV. Since the new model was released in only very limited quantities, we built the campaign around the idea of the Rare Beast.

The centerpiece of the campaign was a dynamic vehicle tour on web, tablet, and mobile devices. The tour featured an interactive exploration of the vehicle as well as three videos, Origin, Anatomy, and Habitat, starring VW Motorsports driver Ryan Arciero. Each video showcased the unique features of the vehicle and its performance. To support the campaign we managed an extensive mobile media buy including custom placements on the Cool Hunting, Popular Science, and Wall Street Journal iPad apps, the Slate Android app, and numerous mobile websites.

NHL.COM
As a part of the redesign of the National Hockey League's website, NHL.com, I helped to bring new structure and visual language to the league's online presence. 

The concept was to bring the audience closer to the action, to emulate a fan right in front of the glass at a game. Logos were cropped tightly and photography was brought closer to ice level to capture that spirit. The busy color palette of the original site was dramatically scaled back to a style dubbed "black ice". This served to let the photography and video on the site be the visual focus.

DELTA iPHONE APP
As the lead designer on this project I created a visual language that was used not only for this application, but also for future offerings such as Blackberry, Android, and Windows Phone versions. The iPhone app was successful enough that it helped to spark an ongoing relationship with Delta and AKQA's DC office. 

The application includes a variety of features such as flight status, mobile check-in, and paperless boarding passes at select airports.

REAL RACING GTI
Real Racing GTI was an integrated campaign to launch the all-new 2010 GTI solely through a mobile app. Users downloaded a free version of the popular game Real Racing featuring the GTI. Over six weeks fans who were playing the game were entered in a weekly drawing to win one of six customized cars. 

The media and consumer response was enormous. The app was the #1 free app in 36 countries within two weeks of launch. Leads and sales increased dramatically, at a fraction of the cost of a traditional model launch. 

This campaign was highly awarded, including a Webby for Best Integrated Mobile Experience and a Silver Lion in the Titanium and Integrated Category at Cannes.

VITAMINWATER GLOBAL
This site was created to support the launch of vitaminwater in countries outside of the United States. Since each country has a different flavor line-up and even different names and ingredients for each flavor, a templated solution was created. 

The user is recommended vitaminwater flavors that best fits their body's needs according to the time of day. Each flavor is presented with arresting and humorous imagery and headlines spoken from the brand's unique voice. The flavor imagery can be customized to target individual markets. 

As the designer on this project I not only designed the structure for the site but also helped to set the visual direction for the flavor photography for the regional launches.

USPS iPHONE APP
The USPS iPhone app allows users to find post office and mail box locations, look up ZIP Codes, and track packages. As the lead designer on this project I helped to establish the visual language and tone for the app. I also directed the developer's creation of the animation and interaction styles.
