A magical holiday walk along the streets of New York City

Miracle on 34th Street. Home Alone 2. When you think of the holidays, you can't help but think of New York City. And perhaps nothing is more iconic than Manhattan's department store window displays. But you can't experience their holiday magic unless you're fighting the crowds and the cold along 5th Avenue... or can you?

"Wow... that's a big one." ... noted NYC aficionado, Buddy the Elf.

We helped Google bring this time-honored tradition to the world in Window Wonderland, an interactive experience that let people walk the streets, see the beautiful displays, and press their faces to the glass to see every detail.

Detailed photographs were taken at twelve inch intervals along entire blocks-long storefronts of 18 major retailers flagship stores. These images were stitched together in a one-to-one scrolling interface –creating a uniquely enchanting and artistic way to explore the windows.

We also gave people the opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of the holiday streets with 360º video and binaural audio at several of the key locations.
